Global Women’s Fund 2018 Scholarships and Grants:
Five Women, Five Seminars

2018 Roskam Scholarship Winner Jennelyn, a recent college graduate in the field of agricultural business, won the 2018 Catherine S. Roskam Scholarship for her seminary studies, one of ten awards made in the current grant cycle of the Global Women’s Fund of New York. Jennelyn, 22, is seeking ordination in the Episcopal Diocese in Southern Philippines, where few clergy are women. “Jennelyn shows steadfastness and courage, and she expresses theologically well her sense of vocation, with an orientation towards God and the people she will serve, educate and transform by her ministry,” explained Judi Counts, Board Chair.  “We also believe her college degree in agricultural business will contribute to her ability to lead in her local community.”

In 2018, the Global Women’s Fund awarded full scholarships to five women who demonstrated that, by pursuing their chosen fields of study, they will enrich the communities in which they live. In addition to Jennelyn, recipient of the Roskam Scholarship awarded each year for theological studies, the women who were granted 2018 scholarships are (due to security concerns in some countries, the Global Women’s Fund publishes only the first names of scholarship recipients):
